As the new owner and veterinarian of Cat Clinic, a veterinary hospital and boarding facility for cats only, located in Danbury, CT, I must say that 2015 has been a wonderful year for us. Cat Clinic has stood strong in the face of many changes and challenges over the past 3 years and our clients have been outstanding in their continued support of what we are here to provide for our clients and our feline patients.
The clinic and its staff, along with its long time clients, all suffered a staggering blow with the loss of their beloved founder, Dr Tom Nero. Dr Nero was loved by all who met him and by all whose lives he touched with his deep love for all felines. His wife, Betty, was profoundly affected by Dr. Nero’s loss but even more profoundly affected by the outpouring of love and support that his clients showed her. Betty was determined that her husband’s lifelong love and dream for Cat Clinic would survive!
That’s about the time that I had the privilege of learning about Cat Clinic and its recent struggles. Upon visiting the clinic I immediately fell in love with the possibility of carrying on Dr Nero’s love for all things feline. The clinic was beautiful! It was clean, quiet, had a very handsome flair, and was obviously built around the needs of cats. I was hooked, and I knew that I needed this practice. I knew that with time, I could accomplish my goals of outstanding lifelong feline care of all our patients.
We’ve been fortunate enough to be able to make upgrades to the existing clinic and to bring in even more diagnostic equipment allowing us to provide even more in depth medical care and expertise. We hope to continue to grow in our capabilities of delivering exemplary medical care, education, commitment, and community involvement. I feel blessed that we continue to have long term staff members who have been with Dr Nero for more than 10years, and blessed that our clients have shown me the same support and love that you have shown Betty. This allows us to continue to give you continuity of care and familiarity which is so important for your feline family members.
Our goals for 2016 are to become a gold level “Certified Feline Practice”; become proficient with “low stress and fear free handling”; add digital dental X-ray to compliment our already existing whole body digital X-ray; add more diagnostic ultrasound capabilities; and provide advanced surgical options with our board certified veterinary surgeon; as well as extended office hours.
Betty continues to check in on us from time to time and we greatly look forward to her visits when she arrives. We’re happy to continue caring for her feline family members as well as yours and we look forward to a wonderful 2016 with all of you. Thank you for your continued and loyal commitment to Cat Clinic.
